The frameset has a full carbon construction, and this bestows high levels of pedalling efficiency while still keeping the weight low. Comfort is infused by the frame’s seatstays, the fork and the seatpost that all have their carbon layups manipulated by BMC’s Tuned Compliance Concept to afford greater levels of lateral flex over poor road surfaces. The endurance inspired geometry of the frameset shortens the reach and increases the height of the handlebars to create a more relaxed position, which, in turn, lowers rider fatigue on longer routes.

The frameset’s ample clearance accepts wider, plusher and quicker rolling tyres and the Shimano RS-370 wheelset is light for climbing, strong for tackling rough roads and is tubeless-ready tyre compatible. Gear changes are slick and reliable thanks to the Shimano Ultegra setup and the partnering hydraulic disc brakes, also Ultegra, give reliable stopping power, even in the teeming rain.
