With 170 mm of travel, the Fox 38 Factory with FIT GRIP2 cartridge and elegant Kashima coating is not only visually impressive - you also get the flagship from Fox in terms of technology. With the finely adjustable GRIP 2 cartridge, you can set the HSC (High-Speed Compression) and LSC (Low-Speed Compression) separately and, in conjunction with the optically integrated Fox Float X2 Factory, optimize the suspension for any terrain. With the Newmen Evolution SL A.30 wheelset, you get the favorite of our test riders: a quiet FADE hub, 30 mm rim width and a modern rim profile offer you the perfect basis for the tires. Here we rely on Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II with soft 3C MaxxTerra rubber compound and EXO+ carcass for optimum grip on your favorite trail.

The drivetrain couldn't be more modern: With the brand-new SRAM Eagle Transmission with parts from the GX and X01 series, you not only have a super-clean cockpit thanks to the wireless AXS POD controller - the crisp gear changes will also win you over in no time. With so many downhill-heavy parts, a proper braking system must also be on board: This is where the flagship Magura MT7 with four pistons at the front and rear does its job.
